The Poor Traveler had always wanted to see Magellan’s Cross in Cebu. Since childhood, there had been this need to be up close and personal with this legendary landmark. “Crowded.” That was the first word that came to the Poor Traveler’s mind upon first step on the church grounds. Perhaps because it was Sunday. One of the first unexpected delights that welcomed us upon arriving in Iloilo during our Western Visayas Tour was its airport.
