Where to Get Tickets

Gone are the days when everything was simple. Those times when had just one price or weekday and weekend rates. These days, prices vary because they apply tiered pricing system. So what exactly are these tiers? Basically, there are four ticket tiers. Tier 1 is the cheapest, while Tier 4 is the most expensive.

Mid-week days or Tuesday to Thursday usually fall under Tier 1. Let’s compare the calendars on Klook and Hong Kong Disneyland’s official website. February is considered part of the peak season due to Lunar New Year, so ticket prices range from Tier 2 to 4, with the highest rate appearing in the third week. March, on the other hand, offers cheaper tickets, covering Tiers 1 and 2. The price difference between Tier 1 (HK$ 669) and Tier 4 (HK$ 939) tickets is significant — that’s HK$ 270 or over P2000!

HK Disneyland Website (Left) and Klook (Right)

So if you are planning to visit Hong Kong Disneyland, try to plot it between Tuesday and Thursday and avoid peak days and around the holidays to avail of the Tier 1 pricing.

Notice also that ticket prices on Klook are already discounted.

As of February 2026

It is highly recommended and more convenient to get your tickets in advance online. Guests are also required to make a reservation for their park visit after purchasing tickets. We’ll discuss how to make a reservation later. For discounted tickets on Klook, follow the link below.

GET HK DISNEYLAND TICKETS HERE!

By the way, the rates above are for 1-Day standalone tickets only. There are various ticket options available, including 2-Day passes, limited-time offers, and combo packages. Let’s also focus on these two offers: Early Park Entry Pass and Non-stop 2-Day Fun Ticket.

Early Park Entry Pass

The Early Park Entry Pass allows you to enter Hong Kong Disneyland up to one hour prior to the official opening time, giving you an opportunity to experience the popular areas, such as the World of Frozen and Fantasyland, before the general crowd rushes in.

During this time, you can enjoy the following attractions:

  • Cinderella Carousel
  • Dumbo the Flying Elephant
  • The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
  • Frozen Ever After
  • Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs

Non-Stop 2-Day Fun Ticket

With so many things to enjoy at Hong Kong Disneyland, you might want to spend two days there. If you think this is you, consider the “Non-stop 2-Day Fun Ticket”. For just an additional HK$ 100 (around P750) on top of a regular 1-Day ticket, this pass gives you a better chance to experience all the rides and attractions. Just remember that it has to be used on two consecutive days.

Hong Kong Disneyland Park Visit Reservation

Once you’ve purchased a ticket, check if you need to make a reservation for your visit date.

This is a requirement for all guests. However, if you book through third-party merchants like Klook or KKDay, park visit reservations might already be included in the package. So make sure to read the package details carefully when you book a ticket to find out whether or not you need to make a reservation on Disneyland’s website.

You can make a reservation as early as 90 days prior to your intended date of visit. This is Hong Kong Disneyland’s measure to manage the number of people entering the park on any given day. Once their quota is full, reservations will be closed. Those who don’t have a prior reservation may be refused entry into the park once the full capacity is reached.

How to Make a Park Reservation

  1. Visit Disneyland’s reservation website. Click “Next” to start your registration.
  2. Create a MyDisney HK account by clicking the “Create Account” button. Then, enter the following details: Last Name, First Name, Birthday, Place of Residence, Mobile Number, Email Address, and Password. Once you’re done, agree to the terms of use and click “Create Account”.
  3. Once your account is set up, go back to the park reservation page. Click “Reserve”.
  4. On the Ticket Registration page, click “Register Now”. Select the admission type and enter your ticket reference number.
  5. Choose your preferred date. Finally, confirm your reservation.

Again, you only need to reserve if it’s not automatically included in the ticket you booked. But most tickets nowadays already come with one.

What if you want to change the date of visit?

To do that, just visit Hong Kong Disneyland’s reservation page. Then under PARK VISIT RESERVATION, select MANAGE OR LINK RESERVATION.

If you book with Klook, you can also make changes, as far as we know. Just do the same process to change the reservation that Klook automatically made for you.

Where to Stay Near Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland is nestled on Lantau Island, far from the city center. From Tsim Sha Tsui, it’s roughly 30 minutes by car or one hour if using public transportation.

So, if the main highlight of your Hong Kong trip is Disneyland, especially if you’re planning to spend two days there, and if you have one day for Ngong Ping, for us, the best areas are these three: Hong Kong Disney Resort, Tung Chung, and SkyCity.

Hong Kong Disney Resort

For an even more magical Disney experience, book your stay at one of the Disney hotels at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. These are the three hotels to choose from:

🔥🔥🔥 Use AGODATPT for 10% off on select hotels! 🔥🔥🔥

So far, we’ve only tried Disney Explorer’s Lodge, the newest and largest among the three, with 750 rooms across four wings — Asia, Africa, Oceania and South America.

The standard room comes with two double beds and can accommodate up to four guests, perfect for families or groupd of friends. The moment we walked in, Mickey and Minnie on the headboards greeted us. That’s just one of the many Disney-themed touches, so both kids and kids-at-heart will definitley enjoy the experience.

Each room has a separate sink area, an in-room hot water filter system, a coffee pod machine, mini-fridge, robes, and Disney-branded hotel slippers, and other kid-friendly amenities.

There’s also a free shuttle bus that takes you to Disneyland Resort Station, which connects to the MTR and is close to the park’s entrance. Hotel guests also get priority entry into Disneyland via a separate lane, making getting in quick and hassle-free.

But, of course, staying here comes at a premium. The lowest rates we’ve seen start at around P10,000 for two guests and P12,000 for four. That’s during off-peak season and on weekdays. During peak season, price can go up to P17,000 at the lowest, and sometimes even exceed P20,000. Breakfast is not yet included, by the way.

But if you do have room in your budget, we’d recommend adding breakfast for the full Disney hotel experience. It’s not just an ordinary buffet but also an experience on its own. Disney Explorers Lodge has three restaurants, and we were able to try Dragon Wind. It’s a buffet-style spread, featuring mostly Cantonese dishes, like dimsum and noodles, along with other international options.

For desserts, don’t miss the Disney-themed treats like Mickey waffles and cupcakes! And while you’re having breakfast, take a few minutes to meet and greet a featured Disney character. We were able to take some photos with Minnie Mouse, who was there on our first day, and Donald Duck on our second day!

That said, it’s pricey, yes. So, if this doesn’t quite fit your budget, we still have two other areas we’d recommend.

Tung Chung & SkyCity

Outside of Disneyland, the closest area to Disneyland is Tung Chung and Hong Kong SkyCity. These areas are also near the airport.

Aside from Ngong Ping, if you also included a Macau day trip in your Hong Kong itinerary, you’ll need to make it through the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB) Port, so we’d recommend Tung Chung or SkyCity.

Most of the hotels here offer FREE bus transfer to and from the airport and Tung Chung MTR Station. Yep, completely FREE of charge. And there’s usually a bus every 30 minutes or so.

Most hotels here are a bit high-end — Marriott, Sheraton, and the like — but its prices are competitive, much lower compared to its counterparts in the city center, and sometimes, up to par with mid-range ones.

How to Get to Hong Kong Disneyland

With Hong Kong’s efficient transportation system, getting to Disneyland is easy peasy. Hong Kong Disneyland has its own train station (Disneyland Resort Station), its own train line (Disney Resort Line), and its own Disney-themed trains.

If you’re coming from one of the Disney hotels, you’ll find free shuttle service that will take you near the entrance of Disneyland. There’s also a bus terminal behind the train station where you can reach the park entrance on foot in just a few minutes.

When taking public transportation, you have the option to take the bus or the train. To help you navigate, you can easily use Google Maps or the MTR app or website. For reference, here’s how you can get to Hong Kong Disneyland from Tung Chung/SkyCity, Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, and the airport.

Hong Kong Disneyland Opening Hours

Hong Kong Disneyland’s usual operating schedule is 10:00AM to 9:00PM. However, opening hours varies depending on different factors. To know the exact park opening hours on your intended time of visit, you may check Disneyland’s park calendar.

How to Explore Hong Kong Disneyland

First things first: download the Hong Kong Disneyland app. This will make your visit so much easier. It has an interactive map where you can find the locations of restaurants, shops, bathrooms, and of course, the attractions. But aside from the location, you can also see the wait times of each attraction in real time, which can help you decide which attraction to go to next. Schedules of shows and parades are also available.

Hong Kong Disneyland has eight themed areas that you can explore: Main Street, U.S.A., Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, World of Frozen, Adventureland, Toy Story Land, Mystic Point, and Grizzly Gulch.

We’ve been to Hong Kong Disneyland several times already, and based on our observations, these are the usual rides with the longest lines:

  • Frozen Ever After
  • Big Grizzly Mountain Runaway Mine Cars
  • Hyperspace Mountain
  • RC Racer
  • Toy Soldier Parachute Drop
  • Jungle River Cruise
  • Mystic Manor

For the other rides, even if the lines look long, they tend to move pretty quickly. Wait times are also displayed above each ride entrance and are also available on the mobile app.

We created a detailed sample Hong Kong Disneyland itinerary here: HK DISNEYLAND SAMPLE ROUTE & ITINERARY

Disney Premier Access

Meanwhile, Disney Premier Access serves as a fast pass that will give you one-time priority entry or allow you to skip the lines at select attractions and/or give you access to designated viewing areas for select shows, depending on the package you avail.

But many have been asking if purchasing a Disney Premier Access (or their version of FASTPASS) is really worth it. And most of the time, our answer is NO. Why? Take a look at this.

For the three-attraction pass, you can only choose from the five attractions listed. And honestly, AntMan, Iron Man, and It’s a Small World, usually don’t have long lines, at least in our experience. And even if the line is long, it moves pretty fast. Actually, we’ve never waited too long for any of these, especially Iron Man.

As for the eight-attraction pass, that’s way too expensive for us. so for us, it’s not worth it.

The next reason might be a hot take. But for us, waiting in line is part of the experience. Some of the queue areas have setups and stories that are part of the attraction, and if you’re always using the pass, you bypass the line but you also miss out on that. But waiting is okay as long as it doesn’t take forever.

If we were just trying to make money, we could sell you the pass and earn the commission, but it wouldn’t feel right. Maybe the Disney Premier Access is worth it on peak days or holiday when the park is insanely crowded. But under normal circumstances, it’s a no for us.

Early Park Entry, on the other hand, is way more worth it. Take Frozen Even After, for example. It almost always has a really long line, and the pass gives you an extra hour to enjoy it before the regular crowd comes flooding in.

How to Enjoy More Rides

  • Be early. Lines get longer as it gets closer to noon and early afternoon. So if you can have early breakfast and prioritize the crowd-favorites, do it.
  • Always check the app. It gives real-time updates, and there are times during the day when lines are shorter, like lunchtime, when most people are eating, and late afternoon, when people start getting tired.
  • Keep an eye on the wait times of the super-popular rides. These rides include Frozen Ever After, Big Grizzly Mountain, Hyperspace Mountain, RC Racer, and Toy Soldiers’ Parachute Drop. These usually have the longest lines and move the slowest because of the nature of the attractions. Meanwhile, attractions like Mickey’s PhilharMagic, even if the line looks long, it moves quickly because each screening can accommodate many guests.
  • Take note of parade and show times. Plan around them, so you don’t miss anything. This includes Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle, which happens at the Castle Stage multiple times throughout the day. You can also meet Disney characters at the “Friendtastic!” Parade along Mainstreet, U.S.A. It happens twice daily — 1:00 PM and 5:15 PM. And of course, Momentous: Party in the Night Sky, which happens at the end of every day, sometimes at 8:00 PM, 8:30 PM, or 9:00 PM. The timing depends on the season.
  • Take advantage of single-rider line at Toy Soldiers Parachute Drop. This is the only ride we noticed with a single-rider option. Basically, if you decide to be a single-rider, you’ll be slotted into empty seats, much like a filler. If you’re in a group, you’ll be split up. But it’s worth it because the line here usually moves too slowly.

Family-Friendly Attractions

If you are with kids and seniors, keep in mind that not all rides are suitable for them. The staff members are strict about height requirements for children, and some rides may be too intense for the elderly companions or anyone with heart condition and other medical issues.

Since every senior has a different fitness level, we can’t say which rides will be perfect for your mom or older companions, but we can share which attractions our team’s senior family members enjoyed. These are the following:

  • Frozen Ever After was a favorite. It’s mostly a calm boat ride with stunning visuals, except for a surprise reverse slide at the end that adds a bit of thrill without being overwhelming.
  • It’s a Small World is a completely tame alternative, which offers a similarly charming boat ride experience without any surprises.
  • Iron Man Experience is a 4D simulation ride that’s immersive but not too intense.
  • Ant-Man & The Wasp: Nano Battle, where you shoot targets, but without any sharp drops or spins.
  • Mystic Manor was another fun and engaging ride, while the Jungle River Cruise was a relaxing and refreshing experience.
  • Festival of the Lion King at Theater in the Wild, Moana: Homecoming Celebration in Adventureland, and other live shows and parades are also big hits among our senior companions.

If there are rides they might not be comfortable with, they can always take a break on a nearby bench or relax at a restaurant while the rest of the group rides.

Other Activities

  • Parades and Shows. Parades and shows will complete your magical experience in Disneyland, so you shouldn’t miss them. Among the shows you should watch is the Disney Friends Live: Party at the Castle, which happens at the Castle Stage multiple times throughout the day. You can also see more Disney characters at the “Friendtastic!” Parade along Mainstreet, U.S.A. The parade happens twice daily (1:00 PM and 5:15 PM). And of course, the highlight show of Hong Kong Disneyland is Momentous: Party in the Night Sky, which happens at 8:30 PM and is the best end to your Disneyland adventure.
  • Meet Disney Characters. If you want to get up close to your favorite Disney character, you can meet them during character greetings. You can interact and take photos with them at designated areas around the park. Keep in mind that these usually have specific schedules too, so you’ll need to check the schedule first. Check the Hong Kong Disneyland app for the schedule and location of the character experiences.
  • Souvenir Shopping. During your trip, if you want to grab a souvenir for yourself and pasalubong for your loved ones, there are multiple shops throughout the park. Along Main Street, you’ll find a few stores you can go to for different Disney merchandise. Each themed zone and some attractions also has their own souvenir stores.

Where to Eat

Before heading to Disneyland, plan where you’ll eat because food inside the park is quite expensive.

  • Anything that needs reheating or hot water.

  • Alcoholic beverages, canned drinks, or glass bottles.

Hong Kong Disneyland Dining Options

If your budget allows, consider trying some of the park’s food because it’s part of the Disneyland experience. You’ll find various restaurants, food stalls, snack carts, and cafes to choose from. But keep in mind that, like other theme parks and tourist destinations, food and drinks in Hong Kong Disneyland are on the pricier side.

Other Tips and Reminders

To help ensure that you can make the most out of your trip, here are some tips and reminders to help you plan your trip.

  • Check the park calendar before your trip. Disneyland’s opening hours often vary. Before your trip, make sure to double-check the park calendar to see the park hours, especially if you plan on being there as soon as it opens.
  • Download the Hong Kong Disneyland App. This app has everything you will need during your Disneyland visit. It has a map where you can find the locations of restaurants, shops, bathrooms, and of course, the attractions. But aside from the location, you can also see the wait times of each attraction in real time, which can help you decide which attraction to go to next. Schedules of shows and parades are also available. You can even purchase a Disney Premiere Access Pass for attractions on the app if you decide last minute.
  • Avail Early Park Entry Pass or Disney Premiere Access Pass. If you think you won’t have enough time to explore Disneyland with a regular ticket during regular park hours, you can avail of these add-ons to maximize your time.
  • Bring a reusable water bottle. As mentioned earlier, food and beverages at the park are on the pricey side. A bottled water or soda, for example, is usually HK$ 30. To save money, bring a reusable water bottle and refill it at the drinking fountains across the park.
  • Wear Comfortable Clothing. Let this be your warning: you’ll do A LOT of walking. Keep your feet from hurting and avoid blisters by wearing your most comfortable shoes. If you’re visiting during summer, wear light clothing and don’t forget to use sun protection too! And if your visit is during the rainy season, make sure to bring a rain jacket with you.
  • Wear bright colors. The reason is not just to have a bright and festive mood but also to make it easier to spot you or your companions in case you get separated, and to describe what you (or they) are wearing.
  • Stay connected. Make sure all of you are connected to the internet so that if you (or your companion) do get lost, you can easily call each other. You can find eSIM, physical SIM, and wifi rental on Klook. If you’re more into eSIM, you can also get it from Airalo: Book Here!
  • Don’t push your luck. If you have a medical condition that is not suitable for a certain ride, don’t risk it. Better to be safe than sorry.
  • Bring your passport. That’s the law here. You must carry it with you at all times. You never know when you might be subject to a police inspection, like what happened to us. We were on our way back to our hotel from Disneyland when four police officers approached us and checked all our belongings. Thankfully, we had our passports with us. Failing to bring it comes with a fine.

How to Get Out of Hong Kong Disneyland

As soon as Momentous Nighttime Spectacular is over, people will start flooding out of the park. You can join them, or you can stay a little bit and let the madness pass, so you can exit more peacefully.

The last train leaves the Disney Resort Station at 12:40 AM, way past midnight, as of writing. So there’s really no need to hurry or join the crowd, unless you need to be elsewhere that night.

Best Time to Visit Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong has a subtropical climate, so it can get really hot and humid. If you want to visit during the cooler months, the best time would be December to April when the temperature ranges from around 10 to 20°C. Meanwhile, May to October are the hottest months with temperatures reaching up to 30°C. However, it’s important to note that these months also experience more rainfall, so if your trip will be within these months, make sure to pack not only sun protection, but rain gear as well.

Weekends are generally busier in the park, so if you can, plan your visit on a weekday to possibly avoid large crowds. Also, remember that the park will likely be crowded as well during holidays like Christmas and Chinese New Year.

Have Peace of Mind While Traveling!

Getting a travel insurance is optional, but we highly recommend this, especially when traveling abroad. Travel can be unpredictable, and though we hope we’ll never use it, having it gives us peace of mind in case of unexpected delays, cancellations, or emergencies.

For international destinations, consider PGA Sompo’s TravelJOY Plus insurance. You can GET IT HERE. Don’t forget to use WORTHIT for a special affordable rate.
