Bali is one of those destinations that offer a lot of attractions. The challenge really is organizing them into a solid itinerary. So, how do you make the most of your five days in Bali? And how much budget should you prepare?
If you’re looking for a detailed sample itinerary with budget breakdown, hopefully this article will help guide you in building your own. I’m also sharing some tips as we go along.
Note that this was not our actual itinerary. We actually stayed much longer. But based on everything we’ve experienced, we created this shorter five-day version. Our teammates Asta and Mariah also returned to Bali recently to update the info we have.
WAIT, WAIT, WAIT! If your are traveling soon and still on the planning stage, you can also visit our The Poor Traveler Masterlist. Here, we compiled travel essentials, including immigration requirements and all our recommended hotels and tours. Just visit this page: TPT Masterlist. We have a compilation for destinations around the world.
How to Get Around Bali
Before we begin, it’s best that I explain a few things about getting around Bali. While public transportation is available, it’s not recommended for tourists aiming to see multiple attractions in a day. The most convenient way is joining a pre-arranged tour. There are plenty of tours on Klook.
If you’re alone, you can opt for a join-in tour, wherein you will be traveling with strangers in a van. However, based on experience, join-in tours are not always available and are quite hard to find. In this post, we’ll give you links to both join-in and private tours, but note that sometimes, the join-in options are not available. They are often grayed out or cannot be selected.
The good news is, private tours in Bali are not really as expensive as in other destinations, especially if you’re a group. Even if they seem pricey, remember that these rates already include entrance fees and parking fees. The driver will also double as your tour guide, and — in cases of Instagram tours — your photographers. These tours still follow an itinerary but since it’s private, you have wiggle room in case you want to skip a site or stay longer at another.
But if you’re a group of three or more, the most affordable way is to just charter a car. Don’t worry, if you’re unable or unwilling to drive, some car rentals come with drivers. This will give you full flexibility. You can build your itinerary from scratch. Here are the rates:

Important! These rates do not include entrance fees, parking fees, and toll fees. And your driver is just that. Don’t expect them to accompany you inside the sites or know the best photo angles. Most of the time, they will only drop you off by the entrance gate or the parking lot. You’ll be on your own for the most part.
But it really is cost-efficient. And it was most evident on our first day.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL & CENTRAL BALI
We arrived in Bali in the morning, which meant we had the entire day to go around. To make the most out of our trip, for this itinerary, we would be booking two hotels located in two different areas of the island. The first one was in Ubud, which is two hours away from the airport.
If we book a Grab all the way to Ubud, it would cost us IDR 400,000 (USD 24, PHP 1400). So, we chartered a car and decided to tour right away.
Our driver Ketut picked us up at the airport. We loaded our luggage in the trunk, paid the IDR 10,000 airport fee (which I believe is now IDR 12,000), and drove to our first stop.
Warung Mak Beng
Yes, the first thing we did in Bali: sample its cuisine. Warung Mak Beng is located in Sanur, which is far from the usual attractions. But on our route that day, it was sort of along the way. While parking, we asked Ketut if he had tried it before. When he said no, we invited him to join us for breakfast. He refused at first, but he eventually gave in.
We first learned about this because of Migrationology, when he featured it in his Bali food vlog. But locals have been adoring it since 1941. There’s only one set meal available. Everyone gets the exact same dishes, served quickly and efficiently at communal tables where locals and tourists sit side by side.
The fried fish is perfectly crispy on the outside and tender inside, accompanied by a flavorful and spicy fish head soup, and fiery sambal. Don’t expect something to blow your mind or anything. There’s nothing fancy about the place or the meal. But if you like fish, you’ll probably appreciate it. It felt like you’re enjoying a home-cooked meal (lutong bahay) at a friend’s. No frills, just clean, soulful food.
Warung Mak Beng is just a short walk away from Sanur Beach. It’s very quiet. We didn’t really intend to swim or stay longer. But since we were nearby, we just decided to check it out.
Address: Warung Mak Beng, Jalan Hang Tuah No.45, Sanur Kaja, Denpasar Selatan, Jalan Hang Tuah No.51, Sanur Kaja, Denpasar Selatan, Kota Denpasar, Bali 80227, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Set Meal: Fried fish, fish head soup & rice, IDR 55,000 (USD 3.24, PHP 193)
Parking Fee: IDR 5,000 (USD 0.30, PHP 18)
After a homey breakfast, it’s time to move on to our next stop.
Blangsinga Glass Bridge
Blangsinga Glass Bridge is a compact but thrilling transparent walkway spanning the Blangsinga River, where the completely clear flooring forces you to confront the drop below with every step. This relatively new attraction caters to visitors seeking a quick adrenaline fix without the commitment of lengthy treks or extreme activities. The bridge adds to the excitement with a slight sway as people cross and sound effects that mimic crashing or breaking glass when you step on certain panels.
Set against a backdrop of dense jungle scenery, the experience delivers a bite-sized adventure in the heart of Gianyar that’s perfect for those wanting a memorable photo opportunity and a mild thrill.
Address: Blangsinga Glass Bridge, Jalan Raya Blangsinga, Saba, Kecamatan Blahbatuh, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali 80581, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 250,000 (USD 15, PHP 879)
Just next to the bridge is a waterfall.
Tegenungan Waterfall
Tegenungan Waterfall is one of the most easily accessible waterfalls in Bali, and it’s been attracting visitors for decades. To be honest, it was probably the most crowded and most commercialized waterfall we saw in Bali. You’ll be encountering more fascinating cascades later on in this itinerary. But since it’s just close by and the entrance fee is not much, might as well drop by.
But if you want to get close to the cascade, you’ll still need to trek down the steps (which means you’ll be climbing back up later). The water drops into a large pool, perfect for a quick swim. The surrounding forest is dense and green, and the roar of the water drowns out the chatter from the crowds above.
Address: Tegenungan Waterfall, Kemenuh, Kecamatan Sukawati, Kabupaten Gianyar, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 6:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 20,000 (USD 1.20, PHP70)
Parking Fee: IDR 10,000 (USD 0.60, PHP 35)
Sacred Monkey Forest
The Sacred Monkey Forest is home to over 600 long-tailed macaques and three main temples that date back hundreds of years. Walking through the shaded paths lined with ancient statues and mossy carvings, you get a sense of how these temples have been part of local life for generations. The monkeys roam freely, stealing snacks and inspecting visitors’ bags, so hold on to your belongings.
Address: Sacred Monkey Forest, Kemenuh, Kecamatan Sukawati, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Entrance Fee: Weekdays, IDR 100,000 (USD 6, PHP 352); Weekends, IDR 120,000 (USD 7, PHP 422)
After bonding with the sacred monkeys, we agreed it was time to finally check in to our accommodation. At this point, our six hours with Ketut was just about to elapse, so we said goodbye.
Ari Cottages Ubud
Ari Cottages in Ubud will be our home for the next three nights.
This charming 3-star boutique property sits just outside the town center, offering a peaceful retreat while remaining within easy walking distance of popular restaurants, cafés, and shops. A convenient bonus: there’s a supermarket directly across the street.
Rooms feature private terraces overlooking the swimming pools, and ours included complimentary daily afternoon tea — though we were too busy exploring to take advantage of it. Thoughtful touches like insect repellent spray added to the comfort. The staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay, making this an excellent choice for travelers seeking a stylish, mid-range option with personality in Ubud.
We paid IDR 1,308,600 (USD 78.35, PHP 4,628) per night during peak season, which felt like good value. Off-peak rates can drop even lower, approximately USD 41 (PHP 2431) per night.

At this point, we were completely spent, since we were already at the airport the night before. We tried to catch some sleep, and when we woke up, it was dinner time. But instead of dining at a proper restaurant, we chose to check out the Pepito Supermarket right in front of our hotel.
We ate inside the room and went back to sleep. We had a really early call time the next day.
DAY 2: EAST BALI
Lempuyang Temple
The main attraction here is Lempuyang Temple, which is one of the most important religious sites on the island. But it caught a lot of attention for its Insta-iconic Gate of Heaven. I’m sure you know this, or at the very least, you’ve seen photos of it.
It’s so popular that queuing up for a photo here can take hours. Today, to work around it and dodge the crowd, visitors need to wake up unlawfully early. That is, if you want those snaps. If you don’t, you can still visit during regular daytime hours. Just ignore the crowd and the megaphone announcements of the photographer.
But let’s assume that you do. And just for the experience, let’s get on with it. You have two options: sunrise tour and sunset tour. Vins and I did the sunset tour, while our teammates took the sunrise tour. We didn’t like our experience, and it seemed like the wait was generally shorter in the morning. So let’s do sunrise.
So yes, today, you need to wake up around 2:30 AM because the pickup is at 3:30 AM. You’ll arrive at the temple at around 5:30 AM. At the parking lot, you’ll need to take the mandatory shuttle service (IDR 50,000) and get the entrance ticket (IDR 150,000). If you’re on a pre-arranged tour, your guide will take care of the fees, as they are included in the booking. If you’re chartering a car, you must do it on your own. You also need to pay the parking fee.
Either way, you’ll get a ticket and a queue number. Wear a sarong, walk up to the temple, and wait for your number to be called. When it’s your turn, you need to be quick. The photo session will happen fast, so plan your poses ahead. Bear in mind that once your number is called, that’s it. If the conditions are not ideal, tough luck. You cannot wait for the sky to clear up or Mount Agung to appear in the background.
But there is more to this temple than the gate, so don’t leave the temple without exploring the vicinity. Our visit happened the day before Galungan, which is a major local holiday, and much of the temple was off-limits in preparation for the festivities.
If you want the sunset tour, this is the exact tour that we booked on Klook:

Tirta Gangga
Tirta Gangga was built in the 1940s by the last King of Karangasem. The name means “holy water of the Ganges,” and even today, locals still treat it as a sacred site. The place is a maze of ponds, fountains, and guardian statues.
One pond with stepping stones is particularly popular among tourists that a long line forms around it. We weren’t interested in the photos, though, so we simply walked around the maze of ponds and admired the fountains and guardian statues. But only for a short while. The sun was scorching that day, so we found a shady spot next to a pond and sat for the rest of our stay.
Address: Tirta Gangga, Jalan Raya Abang Desa Adat Jalan Raya Tirta Gangga, Ababi, Abang District, Karangasem Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 90,000 (USD 5.38, PHP 316)
Parking Fee: IDR 5,000 (USD 0.30, PHP 18)
Tukad Cepung / Goa Raja Waterfall
This set tour usually stops at Tukad Cepung. But for some reason, it was closed that time, so our guide took us to Goa Raja Waterfall instead. It’s tucked deep inside a forest near Besakih. The trail isn’t too long, but it isn’t short, either. Once you hear the water, you’re close. The waterfall bursts out of a cave, echoing against mossy rocks while sunlight filters through from above.
Both Tukad Cepung and Goa Raja are famous for the enchanting sun rays beaming down alongside the water curtain. You can pose for photos in front of it, but be prepared to get wet a little. Best to remove your shoes!
Address: Goa Raja Waterfall, Jehem, Tembuku District, Bangli Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 25,000 (USD 1.5, PHP 88)
Tegalalang Rice Terraces
Tegalalang Terraces are a classic example of the subak irrigation system that has shaped Balinese agriculture for centuries. The terraces rise in neat steps along the hillsides, with small paths that let you walk among the paddies. Many farmers still work here, planting and harvesting rice using traditional methods, which makes it easy to appreciate the scale and effort behind the stunning scenery.
Access here usually starts at properties that offer giant swings and many other photo opportunities. You’ll have to pay for these, but you can totally skip them if you don’t want to.
Address: Tegalalang Rice Terraces (Abian Desa Access), Jalan Raya Banjar Jalan Pakudui, Kedisan, Tegallalang District, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 25,000 (USD 1.5, PHP 88)
Parking Fee: IDR 5,000 (USD 0.30, PHP 18)
This tour also usually includes a stop at Taman Ujung Water Palace. But we were desperately exhausted at this point. We skipped it, but feel free to still go and let us know in the comments section if we missed anything and if we should return for it.
Once you’re back at the hotel, get some rest and freshen up because we’re eating out tonight!
Warung Pondok Madu
Warung Pondok Madu is a popular and highly rated eatery in Ubud, just within walking distance of Ari Cottages, where we stayed.
It’s best known for its BBQ pork ribs — smoked or grilled until super tender and served with a variety of flavorful sauces, which many visitors say are some of the best in Ubud, and one of the reasons the warung has gone “viral” on social media and food blogs.
You’ll also find a mix of Indonesian and Asian dishes, mixed rice plates, vegetarian options, and refreshing smoothies. The prices are a bit higher than our usual meal budget, but it was worth it. The portions were generous, and the taste was worth it.
Address: Warung Pondok Madu, Jalan Jatayu Tebesaya, Jalan Jatayu, Peliatan, Ubud District, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Prices: Local Signature Pork Ribs (half rack) – IDR 155,000 (USD 9.27, PHP 545); Mie Goreng – IDR 79,000 (USD 4.72, PHP 278); Soda – IDR 25,000 (USD 1.5, PHP 88)
DAY 3: NORTH BALI
This is my favorite tour. North Bali Tour will take you on a ride across the Balinese countryside that is more laidback and with very diverse attractions. We went with a pre-arranged Instagram North Tour instead of DIY-ing it because we wanted great photos of this tour and when we computed, there wasn’t much of a difference in the total cost when entrance fees are added for a party of two.
✅ BOOK NORTH BALI INSTAGRAM TOUR HERE!
This Klook page has a lot of options so make sure you choose NORTH BALI.
But if you’re a group of three or more, the difference would be much more noticeable. In that case, best to just charter a car. We’re indicating the entrance fees and parking fees in this post for the benefit of the DIY-ers, but again, ignore if you’re on a set tour.
Handara Gate
Our first stop was Handara Gate, which stands at the entrance of the Handara Golf & Resort. But the gate quickly became a photography hotspot for travelers, offering a less hectic and less crowded alternative to the Gate of Heaven at Lempuyang Temple. It looks similar but without the Mount Agung backdrop.
While the Gate of Heaven can have you waiting for hours, here at Handara Gate, you can have a photo taken in around an hour if you come early. When we visited, we only waited for 45 minutes for our turn. But note that there is nothing else to do here other than taking photos.
Address: Handara Gate, Handara Golf & Resort, Pancasari, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 50,000 (USD 3, PHP 176)
Parking Fee: IDR 5,000 (USD 0.30, PHP 18)
Ulun Danu Beratan Temple
Ulun Danu Beratan Temple was built in 1633 to honor Dewi Danu, the goddess of water, and sits on the shores of Lake Beratan. The temple’s multi-tiered meru towers are iconic. Visitors can explore the temple grounds, watch local ceremonies, and learn about its cultural significance in Balinese water rituals.
Address: Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, Candikuning, Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 75,000 (USD 4.48, PHP 264)
Parking Fee: IDR 5,000 (USD 0.30, PHP 18)
After lunch, we proceeded to our next stop.
Banyumala Twin Falls
Banyumala Twin Falls is tucked in the jungle. From the parking lot, you can walk or charter a motorcycle to get to the start of the trail. Then, a short trek along stone steps down the steep hillside will lead you to the base, where you will be greeted by the falls.
The twin streams cascade into a natural pool, and the water is cold, perfect for a quick dip. It’s one of Bali’s quieter waterfalls, making it ideal if you want to avoid large crowds and enjoy the forest surroundings.
Address: Banyumala Waterfalls, Wanagiri, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 50,000 (USD 3, PHP 176)
Parking Fee: IDR 2,000 (USD 0.12, PHP 7)
Wanagiri Hidden Hill
Our next stop was Wanagiri Heaven, which overlooks Lake Buyan and Lake Tamblingan. It is famous for its swings, bird’s nests, and photo platforms. The spot became popular for tourists, thanks to Instagram. Going early helps beat the crowd and lets you enjoy the scenery without waiting for your turn on the swings.
Address: Wanagiri Hidden Hill, Wanagiri, Jalan Raya Munduk, Pancasari, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 100,000 (USD 6, PHP 352)
Jatiluwih Rice Terraces
Our last stop! Jatiluwih Rice Terraces are a UNESCO World Heritage site and cover hundreds of hectares with carefully maintained paddies. The terraces use the traditional subak irrigation system, which has been practiced in Bali for centuries. Walking along the trails gives you a closer look at the farmers at work and plenty of opportunities to appreciate the scale and design of the landscape.
Address: Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, Jalan Batu Luwih Kawan, Jatiluwih, Penebel District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 75,000 (USD 4.48, PHP 264)
Parking Fee: IDR 5,000 (USD 0.30, PHP 18)
This is my favorite Bali Tour because I liked all five stops. By the way, if you’re a solo traveler or you’re simply on a budget, you can join a group tour with other travelers. I found this on Klook, too. But we haven’t booked this one. Just presenting another option.

DAY 4: TEMPLES & TRANSFER TO SEMINYAK
Today, we’re moving to another hotel in the beach area to also have a taste of the busier, more bustling, and more chaotic side of Bali. So pack up, check out of your hotel in Ubud, and load your bags in the car.
Once again, we are chartering a private car with a driver. But instead of going straight to our new hotel in Seminyak or Kuta, we’re making some stops along the way. Starting with…
Tirta Empul Temple
Tirta Empul Temple, built in 926 AD, is famous for its holy spring where locals and visitors participate in ritual purification. You can join in, stepping from fountain to fountain as water flows over each person. Or you can just admire from a distance or walk around the temple complex, composed of pools, fountains, and shrines dedicated to Vishnu. It’s a fascinating glimpse into Bali’s spiritual traditions.
Address: Tirta Empul Temple, Tampaksiring, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 75,000 (USD 4.48, PHP 264)
Parking Fee: IDR 10,000 (USD 0.60, PHP 35)
Babi Guling Bu Desak Pejeng
For lunch, let’s have some babi guling, which is spit-roasted suckling pig, similar to lechon. And we’ll have it at Babi Guling Bu Desak Pejeng, not for any special reason. It’s just somewhat along the way, and the rates are very budget-friendly.
The standard babi guling set costs IDR 35,000. It already includes a cup of rice, sate (skewered, grilled meat ), ares (traditional Balinese stew made from young banana tree trunks cooked with coconut milk and spices), oret (Balinese seasoned meat sausage) and lawar (classic Balinese mix of chopped vegetables, grated coconut, minced meat, and spices).
There is a special set, which costs PHP 55,000, but the standard set is good enough, to be honest.
You can pair it with a drink or es campur, which is sweet, colorful Indonesian shaved-ice dessert filled with mixed fruits, jellies, and syrups, reminiscent of halo-halo.
Address: Babi Guling Bu Desak Pejeng, Banjar Laplapan, Pejeng Kawan, Tampaksiring District, Gianyar Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Standard Set Meal (babi guling with rice, sate, ares, oret, lawar): IDR 35,000 (USD 3.29, PHP 193)
Taman Ayun Temple
There’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bali that we still have not set foot in until now. That’s Taman Ayun Temple. And I’m including it in this itinerary because you can drop by this site before we reach our next stop, which is…
Tanah Lot
Tanah Lot is one of Bali’s most iconic sea temples — that famous postcard-worthy shrine perched on a rock formation just off the coast. It’s especially stunning at sunset, when the whole place glows gold, and the waves crash dramatically around it. The temple itself is not open to non-Hindus, but the surrounding viewpoint areas are perfect for photos and strolling.
It can get crowded (because everyone wants that shot), but try to find a quiet spot and just soak in the view and the atmosphere from there.
Address: Tanah Lot, Beraban, Kediri District, Tabanan Regency, Bali, Indonesia
Opening Hours: Daily, 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Entrance Fee: IDR 75,000 (USD 4.48, PHP 264)
Parking Fee: IDR 10,000 (USD 0.60, PHP 36)
I know you’re probably templed out at this point, so let’s end the tour for today and head to your hotel in Seminyak.
Grandmas Plus Hotel Seminyak
We chose to stay at Grandmas Plus Hotel Seminyak because at the time of our visit, it was one of the few hotels that we could afford. It was peak season, and we were booking at the last minute.
However, in the off-peak season, a room here can go as low as IDR 385,600 (USD 23, PHP 1347) per night. But it was peak season when we visited, so we paid IDR 690,000 (USD 41.40, PHP 2443) per night.
It’s at an excellent location, just a short walk from the beach, restaurants, and bars. It’s perfect for travelers who want to stay in the heart of Seminyak without paying premium resort prices. The rooms are compact but modern, equipped with essentials like air-conditioning, free Wi-Fi, and comfy beds. There’s also a small swimming pool, an in-house spa, and a restaurant, all great for relaxing after a day of exploring.
✅ CHECK RATES & AVAILABILITY HERE!
You can take this time to rest, or you can check out the beach, which is just a block away, less than five minutes on foot.
Then, after, grab a quick dinner at a warung nearby and a big bottle of water at a convenience store, and call it a day.
Or, if you still have the energy, why not hit one of the bars or clubs, so you can also experience Bali nightlife? You’re in Seminyak after all. There are plenty of options here and in Kuta. And after a drink or two or more (no judgment) and tons of fun, that’s when you could call it a day.
DAY 5: KUTA & DEPARTURE
It’s your last day in Bali, so try to make the most of it still. If your flight is late night or early morning the next day, great, you still have a full day to explore. But not too much. Today, we’re not gonna tour. We’ll just chill, walk around, maybe shop for souvenirs. You could sleep in and get up a bit later today because check out is at 12 noon.
But at around 10:30 AM, pack up, check out, and deposit our luggage at the reception. Then let’s head out to Kuta. We’re on chill mode today, so just book a Grab.
Kuta
Start your Kuta adventure with lunch. Find a warung for a cheap meal. But at this point, after all the local dishes you’ve tried, you have earned the right to try fast food. Go for it, no shame. Whatever is convenient.
But after, head to Beachwalk Shopping Center for coffee, brunch, or a cool break while browsing its open-air shops. Afterward, walk down to the Kuta Art Market to hunt for souvenirs and locally made crafts. Then, when the sun is pretty low in the sky, hit Kuta Beach and get a quick dose of Bali’s surf culture by strolling along the shoreline and watching surfers.
If you still have time, you can still have dinner here in Kuta. But if I had a choice, I would probably go to neighboring Legian to return to Waroeng Soerabi Bandoeng 101.
Waroeng Soerabi Bandoeng 101
We had dessert here at Waroeng Soerabi Bandoeng 101 last time, just dessert, and we loved it! So this time, we’ll probably try their nasi goreng or mie goreng. And then end the meal with one of their signature soerabi (also spelled serabi). It is a traditional Indonesian pancake made from rice flour and coconut milk, usually cooked over a clay pan over charcoal to create a soft, chewy center with slightly crispy edges. But here, they take it to the next level by going crazy with the sweet and savory toppings! Just look how mouth-watering these are!
Anyway, once you’re full and happy, go back to your hotel, pick up your bags, and book a Grab service to the airport.
And that’s it! That’s our 5-day 4-night Bali itinerary. But the question is: How much will this itinerary cost you?
BALI BUDGET BREAKDOWN
Here’s a summary of our sample 5-night Bali itinerary. The costs indicated here are PER PERSON. Feel free to add to this budget or tweak the itinerary according to your preferences and schedule.
If You’re a Group of 2
This assumes you’re a party of two sharing the expenses equally. Again, figures shown are per person.
For Central Bali attractions (Ubud and Gianyar), you’ll be chartering a private car with a driver. But for North and East tours, you’ll be booking a pre-arranged tour. We ran some computations, including the entrance fees and parking fees, and if you’re a group of two, the difference is not much, but the insights from your driver/guide will be significant in these areas.

- Night Surcharge: IDR 250,000 (IDR 62,500 per pax)
Here’s what the breakdown looks like PER PERSON if you account for all the entrance fees, parking charges, and surcharges (for North and East), and the same tours will only cost you the following:

Have Peace of Mind While Traveling!
Getting a travel insurance is optional, but we highly recommend this, especially when traveling abroad. Travel can be unpredictable, and though we hope we’ll never use it, having it gives us peace of mind in case of unexpected delays, cancellations, or emergencies.
For international destinations, consider PGA Sompo’s TravelJOY Plus insurance. You can GET IT HERE. Don’t forget to use WORTHIT for a special affordable rate.
