MANILA TO LEYTE & SAMAR by BUS: List of Operational Routes & Bus Companies

2020 • 11 • 27

Travel restrictions in different places in the Philippines are being eased up after months of travel ban due to the COVID-19 pandemic. With this, more public transportation vehicles are being allowed to operate again. Jeepneys, buses, and UV express within Metro Manila and from nearby provinces are now plying different routes.

Last November 2, 2020, the LTFRB opened six (6) routes for provincial buses to Region VIII (Eastern Visayas) and back to Metro Manila. This is just in time for the holidays, when people would go back to their provinces to spend Christmas with family.

Note that provincial buses bound for Visayas and Mindanao are using the SANTA ROSA INTEGRATED TERMINAL (SRIT) in Laguna. If you’re coming from Metro Manila, you need to make your way to Santa Rosa first and catch the bus there.

  3. Eating is prohibited.
  4. Proper ventilation in PUVs must be maintained.
