Since the extended community quarantine period started, we’ve had a couple of birthday celebrations in the family already. Although we were able to celebrate, we had a hard time looking for a birthday cake.

Cakes have been been a big part of festivities. Any celebration just seems incomplete without a beautiful, decadent cake as the centerpiece of every feast. Pre-quarantine, it’s quite easy to find any type of cake for whatever occasion. Whether you’re looking for sponge cakes, chiffon cakes, chocolate cakes, or cheesecakes, there’s always an open bakeshop within a block. But things are different now.

CONTI’S BAKESHOP & RESTAURANT Delivery

Conti’s Bakeshop and Restaurant serves a wide range of products but their mango bravo cake is the most well-loved.

Several Conti’s branches reopened for delivery through their hotline 8580-8888 and by directly calling their stores. Conti’s is also available through Grab Food. But if you want to order their cakes, note that it is currently not available on their website so you should call or order through Grab Food.

RED RIBBON Delivery

Red Ribbon is one of the biggest bakery chains in the Philippines. It has more than 450 stores all over the country. Now, stores in selected areas reopened with limited products available.

Some stores also has pick-up and delivery options. You can order through their FB Messenger Ordering service for pick up and delivery or call their delivery hotline #8-7777. There are also branches that are serviced by Grab Food and Food Panda.

How to Make Advance Order for Mothers’ Day

In anticipation of the surge for Mothers’ Day, Red Ribbon has set up a system allowing customers to make an advance order from May 4 to 8. You may choose to receive your cake through delivery, self pick up or pick up via Service Providers before Mother’s Day (May 10).

GOLDILOCKS Delivery

From its first store that opened in 1966, Goldilocks is now a bakery chain with hundreds of stores nationwide. Select Goldilocks stores are now back in business with a few of their cakes, breads, snacks and ready to eat food.

Goldilocks delivery service is available in select areas in Manila, Mandaluyong, Pasig, Makati, Quezon City, Taguig, Paranaque, San Juan, Marikina, Cavite, and Rizal. For deliveries, you may call 8888-1-999 or go to www.goldilocksdelivery.com.ph.

They also have delivery services in some stores while other areas are covered by Food Panda. For Food Panda, you may check the app to see if your area is covered by their services.

Delivery time is from 10am to 5pm, but there’s no guaranteed delivery time.

CAKE2GO Delivery

From their first store in 2005, Cake2Go has grown to be popular place to grab cakes for take outs and delivery in Metro Manila. They have 11 branches that serves cakes in whole and slices.

Cake2Go has recently reopened some of their branches. These stores are open from 10:30am – 5:30pm. You may go to a branch to purchase cakes for take out or you may call and arrange a pick-up of your order.

Most open branches also allow delivery through Grab and Lalamove to be arranged by the customer.
