7 Easy DONUT RECIPES You can Try at Home

Donuts. Fried pieces of heaven. It can be a dessert, a snack, and, in some cultures, a main dish. Different donut brands whip out their specialty donut flavors that will give them their own identity. Today, the world is filled with countless varieties, from fried to baked, glazed to frosted, rings to filled, round to twisted. And of course, donut holes!

While the community quarantine is still in place, some of us explore our untapped kitchen skills! If you want to try your hand in making your own donuts, here are some of the easy homemade donut recipes we found on YouTube.

No Yeast and No-Knead Donuts

Kusina Chef shows us how she does her donuts without yeast and kneading. She used evaporated milk, white vinegar, egg, vegetable oil, all-purpose flour, baking powder, white sugar, and salt to form her donut base. For her glaze frosting, she mixed powdered sugar, milk or water (more thinner), vanilla/strawberry, cocoa powder(for chocolate), red food color (for pink coloring), and sprinkles (optional). She was able to come up with three flavors. If you don’t have a donut maker, you will see how she creates her ring donuts in the video. For more details, check her video’s description box.

Twisted Donuts

Twisted donuts are also called shakoy in the Philippines. In this video, Dancey Cake presents her no-yeast twisted donuts. The ingredients include eggs, sugar, salt, baking powder, vegetable oil, all-purpose flour, and milk. If the dough still sticks to your hand, she suggests adding flour until it doesn’t stick anymore.
