Travel restrictions in the Philippines have started to ease after months of lockdown, and one of the popular destinations to reopen is Siargao, the surfing capital in the Philippines.

Flights to Siargao resumed operations, too. But while tourists are now accepted, some health and safety protocols remain in place. There are also travel requirements you have to secure before you go and present upon arrival on the island.

If you are planning to make a trip to Siargao soon, here are the requirements.

For Walk-in Tourists

❗️ You need to email these documents to a day before your trip to sdntourism@gmail.com for approval.

  1. Negative RT-PCR Test result or COVID-19 Saliva Test Result, taken within 48 hours before the arrival to the province. All costs of the tests shall be shouldered by the tourist.
  2. Valid Identification Card or a government-issued ID
  3. Confirmed Accommodation Booking. Tourists are required to have a confirmed booking for at least 2 nights at an authorized resort, hotel or hostel. Make sure to book an accommodation establishment with a Certificate of Authority to Operate (CAO) from the Department of Tourism (DOT).

In addition, you need a Surigao del Norte e-HEALTH Pass. You don’t need to email this before your trip, but you’ll be using it when exploring Siargao. You can get your e-HEALTH Pass by signing up here: Siargao e-Health Pass! Click Register Person and then select Tourist for the entry type. Then, enter your personal details, current address or the address of your accommodation in Siargao and permanent address or your origin within the Philippines. Health declaration is also a part of the information you have to provide. Fill out the form completely and truthfully and then click Generate. This would give you your e-HEALTH Pass with a QR Code. Print a copy of this e-HEALTH Pass and save another copy on your device for good measure.

Hello,

This is a very informative post. I just have a question regarding the travel itinerary, should it be provided by a accreditted agency? Or I can present a DIY travel itinerary? Thank you so much.
