With the almost unbearable heat these days, we’re always looking for ways to cool down. And one of the most common is with cold food and drinks. I’ve consumed so much halo-halo, ice cream, ice candy and iced anything in the past weeks! But with the limited going out schedule, it’s difficult to buy these all the time, so we make our own iced treats.

We’ve been making ice candies since it’s very easy to make, but I didn’t know you could easily make ice cream too until I saw video tutorials online. Most of the recipes use only a few ingredients . It could also be a fun activity to do with kids!

These are some of the ice cream recipes on Youtube that you could easily follow. These recipes are pretty cheap so you don’t have to worry if you’re on a budget.

Summer season is also mango season in the Philippines. We usually enjoy eating the fruit by itself or turn in into a refreshing smoothie. Mango float is a common dessert for us too, but in this video, Jho Faith shows us how to make our own mango ice cream. For this recipe, you just need all purpose cream, condensed milk and of course, mangoes.
