The office of the Department of Tourism Region VI has published on its Facebook page a list of hotels, resorts and other lodging places in Western Visayas that are allowed to commence or resume operations while the community quarantine is still ongoing.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic wreaked havoc all over the world, governments of most countries have regulated the operations of hotels and other forms of lodging more strictly. In the Philippines, any accommodations establishment must secure a Certificate of Authority to Operate (CAO) from the DOT. This is in accordance with the DOT Administrative Order No. 2020-002 or the “Community Quarantine Guidelines for Hotel Operations”.

In this post, we’re listing the establishments that have managed to secure a CAO or a provisional CAO as of 23 July 2020. Note that each hotel or resort may have its own sets of safety measures, in addition to the general regulations. If you’re planning to book, make sure to check with them first. We also recommend contacting the local government unit for updated policies that may apply to you.
